Alongside the flagship summer school at Grymsdyke Farm, this year introduces Reading Design (Shanghai), a new programme developed in collaboration with MBRS, directed by Zhao Baiqiao, with the support of Sun Jia Bing.

From the Buckinghamshire countryside to the industrial landscape of Shanghai, the two programmes explore contemporary design practice through making, fabrication, research, material experimentation and collective learning.

Directed by Guan lee, Marco Campardo, Soft Baroque and Lorenzo Vitturi, the programme will engage participants with workshops, factory visits, fabrication processes and exhibition production across Shanghai and the surrounding region.

The outcomes will culminate in exhibitions with Sohe Gallery in Shanghai and Hangzhou.
