In the first week of June, the well-known architecture studio Holloway Li visited Grymsdyke Farm for a special immersive workshop. The architects spent day and night at the Farm, taking part in an intensive experience of design and making.
The focus of the workshop was the creation of chairs. Divided into two groups, the studio first dedicated the morning to brainstorming and sketching ideas. In the afternoon, our machines brought these ideas to life, producing a series of unique and experimental stools. The day concluded with the group reflecting on the process and the surprising forms that emerged.
Grymsdyke Farm collaborates with studios and businesses that share our interest in nurturing creative talent and exploring new ideas. Our workshops can take many forms – whether a single day or a week – and are designed to provide a valuable space for team-building, developing collaborative skills, and experimenting with materials and fabrication processes at scale.
If your studio shares our commitment to design and experimentation, we’d be delighted to discuss how we can work together.
